At Arc Studio, we guide you to navigate your own wellness journey from within. We believe every individual begins from a unique place. In each class, we encourage you to explore your own freedom of movement and reach beyond your limits.

Your Journey To Holistic Wellness Begins Here

At Arc, our team is specially trained to support our clients in syncing movement, rhythm and breath.

Through the Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis Methods, our goal is to help you strengthen your sense of center, to live an expansive life, celebrating movement and expression of self.

Through our work, we guide our clients in reconnecting the physical with the mental, improving wellbeing.

Connection starts with action, and our goal is to empower/support you into taking the action your body needs.   With carefully-crafted movement sequences and personal guidance, our goal is to increase overall levels of focus, clarity, and spatial awareness.

Our priority is to provide a safe space for healing and connection with others, reflecting the diversity of who we are and the community we serve. Inclusivity is at the core of what we do — we welcome people of all cultures, backgrounds, and abilities to experience the joy of movement with us.

Nestled among the quaint shops, charming restaurants and cafes, and vibrant culture of Commercial Drive, Arc Studio is the first boutique fitness studio in the area.

Founder Patricia Kim fell in love with the space for Arc Studio when she first saw it, in this neighbourhood where she has lived and raised a family for more than a decade. The studio itself reflects her love of simplicity and natural elements, featuring a spacious sunlit space with high ceilings and original hardwood floors. Arc Studio was designed to be a haven for all who visit to feel safe and seen.

Discover The Space

We are grateful to be living and working on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the ʷməθkʷəy̓ əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (TsleilWaututh) First Nations.

For Patricia, Arc Studio is a culmination of her life’s work in the exploration of movement. She is passionate about teaching various movement modalities, having attained certifications as a Gyrotonic, Gyrokinesis, Pilates, Contemporary Dance and Vinyasa Yoga instructor.

Her extensive experience across these different modalities has enriched her perspective, providing her with a unique lens through which she understands bodies, their alignment, and individual movement patterns.

Patricia loves the Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis Methods for how they strengthen the connection between mind and body and their influence on all other movements in daily life. For her, it feels like a moving meditation, like dancing where movement is embodied and free.

She founded Arc Studio with the hope of creating a safe, supportive environment for diverse individuals while sharing the joy and art of movement.

Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis are a core part of Valeria’s practice as a contemporary ballet dancer. The methods have helped her heal her body and manage the physical pain that comes with pushing her body to extremes in the course of her dance profession.

After she discovered what Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis could do for the body, she was inspired to share her knowledge and help others by becoming a trainer. Valeria is driven by a passion for learning about the unique and intricate movement patterns that live inside each diverse individual. When guiding her clients, she encourages them to explore and celebrate their own freedom of movement.

Gyrotonic is a fun way to improve flexibility and core strength. Patricia is a fabulous instructor! She is very hands on, and caters to the needs and state of your body during the session. I’ve never had a single injury from her class compared to other forms of exercise.
